Meeting Point Asia seeks COO, CCO

A subsidiary of Meeting Point International, Meeting Point Asia is now seeking two experienced members to join their team in Bangkok.

 

Company: Meeting Point Asia (Bangkok)

 

Position: Chief operating officer (COO)

 

Job specs: The COO will ensure both commercial and operational excellence in all the ground services Meeting Point Asia provides. Moreover, the COO will optimise our supply chain processes by overseeing our reservation, customer service and operations departments. The COO also be responsible for identifying and developing new in-destination sales opportunities and sustainable supplier partnerships.

 

Applicants should possess sound experience of leading a dynamic organisation, operating in multiple locations, have a bold and energetic approach, and the gravitas to lead, mentor and develop a multi-functional workforce across various regions and facilities. This role is based in Bangkok/Thailand and will include frequent national travel and occasional overseas travel.

 

The preferred candidate has held a similar role at executive level in the tourism industry. Experience within the Thai market is required.

 

Responsibilities will include:

• Establish and implement a business strategy for operational products and services with the aim of achieving agreed growth targets, holding full P&L responsibility
• Proactively driving business development activities, securing sales and negotiating contracts in order to achieve the anticipated growth and profitability objectives.
• Manage the existing portfolio of excursions, transfers and further local sales activities with a view to greatly enhancing sales, oversee the reservations departments’ core activities and ensure system related processes meet highest efficiency targets.
• Monitor quality of all operational activities provided to Meeting Point Asia guests in destination aiming utmost service delivery and ensure compliance with service, health & safety procedures required by tour operators.
• Deliver both commercial and operational excellence by incorporating group level initiatives and requirements to ensure local success.

 


 

Position: Chief contracting officer (CCO)

 

Job specs: The CCO will drive growth, development and new opportunities to make Meeting Point Asia a market leader in accommodation supplies.

 

Applicants should know how to build networks and leverage them to create new business opportunities, and be able to teach these skills. We are seeking a candidate with great experience with forecasting, being strategic, able to negotiate complex deals, and someone who is a whiz at all aspects of the sales cycle. This role is based in Bangkok/Thailand and will include national travel and occasional overseas travel.

 

The preferred candidate has held a similar role at executive level in the tourism industry/ DMC sector and is degree qualified in business. Experience within the Thai Market is required.

 

Responsibilities will include:

• Proactively driving business development activities, securing sales and negotiating contracts in order to achieve the anticipated growth and profitability objectives.
• Developing an effective market exploitation strategy within Thailand, steering an effective business relationship with prospective customers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage ongoing customer relationships whilst exploring new markets and territories with a view to greatly enhancing sales and hitting growth targets.
• Deliver both commercial and operational excellence by incorporating group level initiatives to ensure local success.
